Man seriously injured in altercation at Jungfernstieg

A 31-year-old man was seriously injured during an altercation involving two groups of around eight men at the Alster landing stage on Jungfernstieg. According to the initial findings, an unidentified man allegedly injured him with a knife to the arm and superficially to the abdomen at about 20:10 on 9 July 2025. The reason for the dispute was not initially known.

The attacker fled towards Neuer Wall, while the other people involved also left the area. Police found the injured man near Flaggenplatz, where emergency services treated him before taking him to hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening. A search did not result in the suspect's arrest, and the investigation is continuing.
