Two people injured in knife attack on Hamburg bus
An unidentified man injured two people with a knife in Hamburg-Billstedt on 12 April. An altercation developed on a number 23 bus after the man allegedly coughed directly at several passengers and refused to leave when asked. After passengers forced him from the bus, police say he stabbed a 30-year-old wheelchair user and a 60-year-old man once each. He then allegedly tried to attack the bus driver, who prevented this by closing the door. The woman received outpatient treatment and the man remained in hospital. The attacker fled on foot and police are seeking witnesses.
