Man remanded in custody after knife incident following theft in Halle
An 18-year-old man is alleged to have stolen goods worth 67 euros from a supermarket on Torstraße in Halle (Saale) on Monday. When employees stopped him near the exit, he allegedly tried to flee while displaying a knife, police said. Another witness stopped him again until officers arrived. The suspect was provisionally arrested and was subsequently remanded in custody by a court. The investigation is ongoing.
