Knife held during attempted robbery in Hagen
At the junction of Bahnstraße and Langenkampstraße near Hohenlimburg station, a 32-year-old man encountered an acquaintance at about 8:50 p.m. on 9 October 2026. The acquaintance held a knife while demanding the man's gold chain and also held a glass bottle. The threatened man broke free of his grip and struck him in the face in self-defence; during the struggle, the broken bottle caused him a minor injury. He fled to a grocery store on Bahnstraße, where passers-by called emergency services, and was taken to hospital for treatment. Police found that he was under the influence of alcohol and drugs; a breath test showed about one per mille of alcohol. A search of the nearby area did not locate the suspect.
