Suspect remanded after Gotha petrol-station robbery involving utility knife

At about 8:30 p.m. on 17 February, a man robbed a petrol station on Eschleber Straße in Gotha. He threatened cashiers with a utility knife and took just under 1,000 euros in cash. Police said their investigation strengthened the suspicion against a 25-year-old man. He was arrested and brought before a judge on 22 March, who ordered pre-trial detention in connection with the Gotha offences.
