Man injured in knife attack at Coburg accommodation

During a violent altercation at accommodation for asylum seekers in Coburg late on Sunday evening, a 31-year-old man allegedly attacked a 33-year-old man with a knife. The 33-year-old sustained stab and cut injuries to his shoulder and forearm and received outpatient hospital treatment. The alleged attacker also injured his hand and required medical care. Police arrested him immediately after the incident, and an investigating judge issued a warrant for attempted homicide. The man is in pre-trial detention while criminal police continue their investigation.
