One dead and one injured after knife attack in Gießen
Two men were injured with a knife in an apartment on Hindemithstraße in Gießen during the night into Sunday. An 18-year-old died at the scene after suffering multiple stab wounds, including a fatal injury to the heart. A 26-year-old was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his head and upper body and was reported to be in stable condition. A 19-year-old is alleged to have injured the two men during an argument and later turned himself in to police. He was remanded in custody on suspicion of attempted and completed manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm; investigators are still examining the sequence of events and motive.
