Man seriously injured in stabbing in Gelsenkirchen
A 31-year-old man was seriously injured by a knife stab during a physical altercation between two residents of a hostel in Gelsenkirchen-Schalke-Nord on 19 July. He was taken to hospital, and police said there was no immediate danger to his life.
A 19-year-old suspect initially fled but was arrested the following day. A local court issued a detention warrant at the request of prosecutors. A homicide investigation unit is continuing the inquiry.
