Machete recovered during confrontation in Gelsenkirchen
Police recovered a machete during a confrontation between two men in Gelsenkirchen-Rotthausen. A 49-year-old man had allegedly retrieved it beforehand and continued to make threats towards a 46-year-old man. According to police, the 46-year-old struck the other man with a broken broom handle; the 49-year-old sustained minor injuries and declined treatment. The 49-year-old was taken into custody to prevent further offences. Criminal complaints were filed against both men, and the cause of the dispute remains under investigation.
