Man arrested after knife robbery at Gardelegen supermarket
At a supermarket on Hopfenstraße in Gardelegen, a man allegedly attacked a cashier and held a knife in front of his face at about 3:15 p.m. on 18 February. Police said the offender grabbed the employee by the neck, took a three-figure sum of cash from the till and fled. The 21-year-old cashier sustained minor injuries. Following a search operation, police arrested a 32-year-old suspect in Gardelegen that evening; he was subsequently held in police custody.
