Man threatens residents and police with knife in Friesoythe
A 26-year-old man allegedly threatened other residents with a knife at a home in Friesoythe on 22 July. When police officers arrived, he repeatedly threatened to attack them with the knife, police said. The other residents were able to leave the house unharmed while the man locked himself in a room. Specialist officers later forced entry, arrested him without resistance and seized a knife. Criminal proceedings for making threats were initiated, and he was subsequently admitted to a psychiatric hospital.
