Teenager injured in knife attack in Friedrichshafen

A teenager was injured in the face with a knife in the pedestrian zone of Friedrichshafen's old town on 22 January. Investigators said he had previously become involved in an argument with another teenager in Eugen-Bolz-Straße, near the passage towards the town hall. The other teenager is alleged to have drawn a knife and attacked him.

The injured teenager fled and, according to the current investigation, was pursued for several hundred metres. A witness is believed to have separated the two at the corner of Schanzstraße and Friedrichstraße, while the alleged attacker escaped. The teenager was taken to hospital with minor facial injuries. Prosecutors and criminal police are investigating on suspicion of attempted manslaughter and are seeking information.
