Woman, 24, seriously injured after alleged neck stabbing

A 24-year-old employee of a bar in Frankfurt's station district was seriously and potentially life-threateningly injured in an alleged attack. Police said a 42-year-old woman is suspected of stabbing her in the neck area with an unknown stabbing instrument at about 9:30 p.m. on 28 April in a bar on Taunusstraße.

Investigators believe the incident followed a verbal dispute after which the 42-year-old was asked to leave the venue. She left the bar with a male companion but was arrested shortly afterwards near the River Main. The injured woman was taken to hospital. The suspect was due to be brought before an investigating judge on suspicion of attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm.
