Minor critically injured in knife attack in Flensburg

A minor boy suffered life-threatening injuries during a violent altercation involving several people in Flensburg on 26 May. According to the current investigation, at least two men attacked him at about 10:45 p.m. near the junction of Landsknechtstraße and Ritterstraße. He sustained multiple stab wounds and was taken to hospital.

The suspects initially fled, with at least one leaving in a vehicle. During the subsequent search, police provisionally detained a 43-year-old man and a teenage suspect. Both also had injuries and received medical treatment. A homicide unit and prosecutors are investigating on suspicion of attempted homicide; the background and precise sequence of events remain under investigation.
