34-year-old seriously injured in stabbing in Essen
A 34-year-old man was seriously injured by multiple stab wounds on Wednesday lunchtime on Haus-Berge-Straße in Essen-Altendorf. Witnesses reported a seriously injured person in the street at about 12:19 p.m. The man was taken to hospital and is no longer in danger of dying.
Police arrested a 30-year-old suspect shortly afterwards. A judge ordered pre-trial detention following an application by prosecutors. According to current findings, family-related disputes are connected to the incident, and a homicide investigation team is investigating.
