Teenager critically injured after stabbing in Essen
A teenager was critically injured by stab wounds after an argument at an apartment building on Goebenstraße in Essen. The confrontation between the teenager and a 19-year-old man began in an apartment at about 10:30 p.m. on 27 April and later moved into the stairwell. Witnesses gave first aid before emergency personnel arrived. The teenager required resuscitation and was taken to hospital. The 19-year-old suspect was arrested in the building. At the prosecutor's request, a court issued a warrant for attempted manslaughter, and the man has been remanded in custody. A homicide investigation unit is investigating.
