29-year-old injured with stabbing weapon during robbery in Essen
A 29-year-old man was injured with a stabbing weapon during an attack in Essen-Frohnhausen on Sunday evening. Police said several unknown men attacked him at the intersection of Dresdener Straße and Leipziger Straße. One attacker inflicted cuts to his lower body, while cash and his mobile phone were also taken during the assault.
Emergency personnel treated the injured man before he received outpatient hospital care. Based on the man's information, police identified and provisionally detained a 27-year-old suspect. The other perpetrators fled, and police are seeking witnesses.
