Man threatened with knife in Essen city centre
A 31-year-old man was threatened with a knife during an attempted robbery on Kettwiger Straße in Essen city centre at about 23:30 on 9 March. Three youths demanded money from him near the junction with An Sankt Quintin. One of the suspects threatened the man with the knife, and the trio then intended to assault him. Before this happened, the three fled, possibly after noticing an approaching police patrol, heading towards the main railway station.
