Teacher seriously injured at Essen vocational college
A 45-year-old teacher was seriously injured at a vocational college in Essen on 5 September. Police said a teenage suspect is alleged to have stabbed her repeatedly with a stabbing weapon. The teacher received treatment at the scene and was taken to hospital. The suspect initially fled but was located by officers at about 11:15. He drew a knife during his arrest; police stopped him by using a firearm and arrested him. He also received medical treatment. Investigations into the circumstances are ongoing.
