Man found with stab wounds in Essen
In the early hours of 13 August, a 19-year-old man was found with serious stab wounds to his upper body in a car park on Bischoffstraße in Essen. Emergency personnel took him to hospital, and police said his life was not in danger.
According to witnesses, an unidentified man fled the scene. An initial search, which also involved a police helicopter, was unsuccessful. Police set up a homicide investigation unit under the supervision of the public prosecutor; the circumstances remained unclear.
