Man critically injured by stabbing weapon during altercation in Essen
A 24-year-old man was critically injured with a stabbing weapon during a physical altercation involving several people on Meyer-Schwickerath-Straße in Essen. The incident occurred on 22 March at about 17:20. Paramedics and an emergency doctor treated him at the scene before he was taken to hospital; police later said he was no longer in life-threatening condition. Two suspects were identified near the scene following a search and provisionally detained.
