Shoplifter threatens employee in Essen with a stabbing weapon
An unidentified man allegedly threatened an employee with a stabbing weapon at about 17:50 on 16 March after a suspected shoplifting incident at an Asian grocery store in Essen's Königshof complex. The employee had approached the customer after seeing him search through a bag. After staff stopped the man again in a passage following his exit from the store, he drew the weapon near escalators and fled. Police are searching for the suspect.
