Cashier threatened with knife and robbed in Essen
An unknown man threatened a cashier with a knife and robbed cash from a household-goods discount store on Carmerstraße in Essen-Holsterhausen on 14 February. At about 19:15, he entered the store pretending to buy a lighter. When the employee opened the register to give change, he pulled out a knife, demanded money and reached into the cash drawer. He fled with the cash, and an initial police search was unsuccessful.
