Man threatens children with knife in Espenau
In Espenau, a drunk 46-year-old man is alleged to have shouted at children playing in the street and handled a knife in his hand on Monday afternoon. Residents called police at around 5:30 p.m. Officers located the man, who had initially fled, shortly afterwards in a railway underpass. A utility knife and a one-handed knife were seized from him. Because of his alcohol level and aggressive behaviour towards officers, he was taken into police custody. He is being investigated on suspicion of making threats and violating weapons law.
