Woman killed after stab injuries in Espelkamp
A 43-year-old woman died from multiple stab injuries in an apartment in Espelkamp on 19 April 2025. Her 44-year-old husband reported her death to police that morning and was then provisionally detained as an urgent suspect. Investigators said the man had life-threatening stab injuries after the incident, which he may have inflicted on himself. His condition stabilised after emergency surgery. The background to the killing remains under investigation.
