Man arrested after threatening police officers in Eschweiler
Following a dispute between two roommates at a municipal accommodation facility on Grachtstraße in Eschweiler, a 34-year-old man allegedly threatened responding police officers first with broken glass and a wooden slat. After retreating to his room, he also threatened to use a knife. A conducted-energy device had no effect, and special police units arrested the man at about 09:37. He was injured while resisting and taken to hospital. The officers were uninjured and the investigation is continuing.
