Suspect remanded after knife robbery at Ergolding petrol station

A 24-year-old suspect has been remanded in custody after an armed robbery at a petrol station in Ergolding. Investigators say that shortly before 10 pm on 8 July, he entered the petrol station on Neue Regensburger Street, displayed a knife and reached into the cash register. He allegedly fled on foot with a low four-figure sum of cash. Officers provisionally arrested him around midnight after a search involving a police helicopter. A warrant was issued on urgent suspicion of aggravated robbery.
