Man threatens children and passers-by with knife in Erfurt
A 35-year-old man is alleged to have threatened a kindergarten group with a knife and a stick at a playground in southeastern Erfurt on 20 October. Police said he later threatened further passers-by at a nearby tram stop. According to the findings so far, he also threw a knife in their direction but did not hit anyone. The man, who was heavily intoxicated and under the influence of drugs, was located after a search, taken to the police station and then brought to hospital because of an acute psychological condition. Police are investigating, among other allegations, attempted dangerous bodily harm and threats.
