Machete used in attempted discount-store robbery in Erftstadt
Two masked men allegedly robbed a discount store in Erftstadt on the evening of 15 October. One of them reportedly waved a machete in the checkout area while the other demanded cash and shook the register. The employee was threatened with the machete. When the register could not be opened, the pair fled towards Kriegergasse without any proceeds. Police are searching for the two unidentified men and appealing for witnesses.
