Man threatens police officers in Erftstadt with kitchen knife
A 40-year-old man is alleged to have threatened responding police officers with a kitchen knife late on 14 April in Erftstadt-Gymnich. Officers encountered him in the street near the incident location after a report of disorderly conduct. Police said he pulled the knife from his jacket pocket and pointed its blade at the officers.
The officers secured the situation with their service weapons and told him to drop the knife. He put it away again and was provisionally detained without resistance. The knife was seized and the investigation is ongoing.
