Man seriously injured by stab wounds in Duisburg shop
During an altercation at a shop on Oststraße in Duisburg, a 35-year-old man allegedly inflicted multiple stab wounds on a 38-year-old man at about 6:30 p.m. on 5 July, seriously injuring him. Police said several people were involved in the dispute; witnesses prevented further injuries and alerted police. Officers arrested the suspect, while an ambulance took the seriously injured man to hospital. Police said there was no immediate danger to his life. Prosecutors assessed the case as an attempted homicide, and a judge ordered pre-trial detention on suspicion of attempted manslaughter.
