Man critically injured in Düsseldorf altercation
Two men aged 18 and 21 were remanded in custody after a 28-year-old sustained multiple stab wounds during an altercation on Charlottenstraße in Düsseldorf. Witnesses saw the confrontation involving three people on Friday, 23 October 2026, at 13:56. The injured man was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition but is no longer in danger of dying following emergency surgery. The two suspects initially fled towards Oststraße before police arrested them during a search; officers found a knife when searching them. The police report does not establish whether that knife caused the wounds. They are investigating an attempted homicide.
