Man with knife detained after alleged extortion attempt in Dresden
A 20-year-old man allegedly approached a teenage boy and an 18-year-old woman on Wiener Platz in Dresden on Thursday evening and demanded cannabis. He was holding a knife, according to police. After they denied the demand, he allegedly pushed the teenager. Security staff from the nearby main railway station were alerted and held the suspect until police arrived. Police are investigating him on suspicion of robbery-related extortion.
