Dortmund: Man remanded after knife robbery
On the evening of 23 February, a 35-year-old man is alleged to have approached two teenagers on the platform at Dortmund-Aplerbeck station, threatened them with a knife and demanded one teenager's backpack. The teenagers then fled to a nearby police station.
Shortly afterwards, the same man is alleged to have approached a 71-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman in a car park beside the Rodenberg-Center and demanded the man's wallet. The pair drove to the police station. Officers later located the suspect near the shopping centre and provisionally arrested him. A search recovered, among other items, a knife, a kubotan and pepper spray. The man was remanded in custody.
