Man robs two children at knifepoint in Dortmund
A man allegedly threatened two children with a knife at a playground at Zimmerstraße/Priorstraße in Dortmund on Saturday evening and robbed one of them. According to police, he searched one child's shoulder bag and took cash from the child's wallet. He fled with the proceeds after passers-by noticed the incident.
Police identified a suspect through video footage during the search and detained the 47-year-old man. Officers ordered him to the ground at gunpoint after he made threatening movements towards them. The knife used in the robbery was seized; investigations and a review of possible detention grounds were ongoing.
