Man allegedly threatens store detective with knife at Dortmund central station

After an alleged theft from a drugstore branch at Dortmund central station, a 29-year-old man is said to have indicated through gestures that he was carrying a knife while facing a 25-year-old store detective. The detective had asked him on a platform to return the allegedly stolen goods. Federal police later found a kitchen knife in the man's inner jacket pocket. Police said he resisted detention and slightly injured an officer's finger. Investigations were opened against him, including on suspicion of assaulting and resisting officers, theft involving a weapon, and making threats.
