Teenager seriously injured in knife attack in Dielheim

A teenager and an 18-year-old man are in pre-trial detention following a knife attack in Dielheim in late September. According to investigators, the 18-year-old argued with a 19-year-old man at a street festival and then called the teenager to bring a knife to a playground to help him. There, the teenager allegedly stabbed another teenager who had come to help in the back without warning. The victim was seriously injured, but his injuries were not life-threatening. The suspect also allegedly tried to cut another person’s face; a 19-year-old witness sustained a minor hand injury when she reached into the knife. The 18-year-old allegedly chased the injured teenager and threatened to kill him. Both suspects initially fled, but were later arrested and brought before a judge. The investigation is ongoing.
