Man injured in robbery in Chemnitz
A 24-year-old man was injured during a robbery in Chemnitz city centre in the early hours of 3 July. According to the investigation so far, three men used violent threats to force him to hand over his phone and cash. One of the offenders is alleged to have caused cut and stab injuries. The men took the phone and wallet and fled. The injured man was later attended by emergency services and police on Zietenstraße in Sonnenberg before being taken to hospital. A 29-year-old was arrested following a search and is suspected of involvement in this robbery and another one; he is due to be brought before a remand judge.
