Knife allegedly used in serious robbery in Chemnitz
Police are investigating a serious robbery after a confrontation involving five men on the pavement at the Tschaikowskistraße/Gießerstraße junction in Chemnitz. Two men aged 24 and 26 were injured; the 26-year-old reportedly suffered a cut to a finger. Based on initial interviews, a 26-year-old suspect allegedly caused that injury with a knife. Three suspects aged 21, 26 and 32 were provisionally detained but later released on the instruction of the public prosecutor's office. The two affected men and a 26-year-old suspect received medical treatment. Police did not find a possible weapon.
