Woman allegedly injured with knife in Chemnitz
Following an argument in an apartment in Chemnitz, a 35-year-old man is alleged to have inflicted a stab wound to the abdomen of a 45-year-old relative with a knife on Tuesday afternoon. The woman was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. An 18-year-old resident held the suspect until police arrived. The man resisted officers, who were not injured. The alleged weapon was seized. The 35-year-old was initially taken into custody and released early on Wednesday; he is being investigated, among other matters, for dangerous bodily harm.
