Man seriously injured in knife attack in Buxtehude
A 29-year-old man was seriously injured by knife wounds during a dispute between two groups on Bahnhofstraße in Buxtehude on Wednesday evening. Several people are alleged to have used knives. The victim collapsed after the confrontation and was initially taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition stabilised after surgery, and treating doctors subsequently no longer considered his life to be in danger. Two suspects were identified; one turned himself in that evening and the other was provisionally detained the following day. Police are investigating on suspicion of attempted manslaughter.
