Man detained after dispute with kitchen knife in Burgkunstadt
After repeated disputes in an apartment building in Burgkunstadt, another serious argument occurred during the night before Wednesday. When officers entered the flat, they found a 47-year-old man holding a kitchen knife; his 29-year-old partner was also present.
According to police, the man did not comply with repeated orders to put the knife down. Around midnight, special police forces overpowered and restrained both people. No one was injured during the intervention. The woman briefly lost consciousness and was treated by emergency medical personnel; both were then taken to a psychiatric hospital. Police are investigating the man, including on suspicion of making threats.
