At accommodation for refugees in Buchholz, a 27-year-old resident allegedly damaged parts of the facility and threatened another resident with a knife on the evening of 18 August. He remained aggressive after police arrived, resisted being handcuffed and bit a female officer on the thigh. He was taken into custody and, after later attempting to injure himself, was medically assessed and taken to a psychiatric clinic. Several criminal proceedings were initiated against him.
