Man threatens police officers with knife in Bremen
Police were called to Kirchheide in Bremen-Vegesack at about 04:40 on 5 March because of a man carrying a knife. The 35-year-old stabbed at a police vehicle with the knife, tried to open its doors and repeatedly moved threateningly and quickly toward officers. A police officer fired a warning shot. The man only put down the knife after a further warning that firearms would be used; he was arrested and taken to a psychiatric facility, and nobody was injured.
