Teenager threatened with pocketknife in Braunschweig
At the Schloss tram stop on Bohlweg in Braunschweig, a 32-year-old man allegedly physically assaulted a teenager, threatened him with a pocketknife and slightly injured him during an assistance situation at about 6:30 p.m. on 5 July. Officers encountered the man at the scene and initially secured a pocketknife. He then put up substantial resistance during the police intervention and injured three officers; two were initially unable to continue duty. Police also found another readily accessible knife and took the man into custody. Proceedings were initiated for dangerous bodily harm, threats and resisting officers.
