Man attacked with kitchen knife in Brandenburg an der Havel
A 24-year-old allegedly attacked a 31-year-old man with a kitchen knife in the victim's home on Magdeburger Straße in Brandenburg an der Havel on Thursday evening. Police said the resident was injured in the head while asleep.
The 31-year-old fought back and kicked the attacker in the face, seriously injuring him. Further physical altercations then continued onto the street. Witnesses alerted police; when officers arrived, the 24-year-old lay on the ground and a kitchen knife fell from his clothing. Police seized the knife and provisionally arrested him. Police said the precise sequence of events remains unclear.
