Teenagers threatened with knife during confrontation at Bottrop central station
On the evening of 1 February, two teenagers encountered a larger group at Bottrop central station after the parties had arranged to meet following earlier disputes. Police said an altercation began after the teenagers got off a train. One person allegedly displayed a knife, and one of the teenagers said he had fended off an attack. Another person allegedly used a blank-firing gun, while someone from the group used pepper spray against the teenagers. Both teenagers sustained minor injuries, were treated by paramedics at the scene and then handed over to their parents. Police have information about suspects and continue to investigate.
