Witness threatened with knife after burglary in Bonn-Tannenbusch
A witness in Bonn-Tannenbusch stopped pursuing two suspected burglars after one of them threatened him with a knife on Landsberger Straße. According to the investigation so far, at around 9:45 p.m. he had seen the men jump from a neighbouring apartment window with stolen property, confronted them and called emergency services as they fled. Police arrested the suspects, men aged 42 and 55, shortly afterwards in a garage courtyard. A police dog handler found burglary tools and property along their escape route that police linked to the break-in. On Wednesday, 21 October 2026, a judge ordered both men held in pre-trial detention because of the risk of flight; the investigation continues.
