Employee seriously injured after shoplifting incident in Bochum
Following shoplifting at a shopping centre on Alleestraße in Bochum, a minor suspect is alleged to have seriously injured a 58-year-old supermarket employee with a knife. Employees had tried to detain him. Witnesses took the knife from the teenager and restrained him until police arrived. The injured employee was admitted to hospital, but his life was not in danger. The teenager sustained minor injuries and was provisionally detained after outpatient treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
