Woman attacked with knife in Bochum
A 42-year-old man is suspected of attacking his separated 48-year-old wife with a knife in her apartment near Wattenscheider Straße and Cheruskerstraße in central Bochum on 2 February. The woman suffered a minor hand injury, fled the apartment and contacted police. Officers arrested the man shortly afterwards and secured the knife. A judge ordered his pre-trial detention. The public prosecutor's office considers the case attempted murder, and a homicide unit is continuing the investigation.
